The swazi candles are entirely handmade, in the small African Kingdom of Swaziland, established 1981 and now employs over 100 people.

The candles are made in 2 stages, the basic inner wax candle and a hard outer wax veneer which incorporates the candles individual design. This outer layer hardly melts when the candle is lit, and according to the pattern the candle burns with a rich, romantic glow. This unique design allows the candle to be re used by placing a votive or tea light in the cavity when the inner core has melted
